MoodGlyph Browser Extension
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MoodGlyph handles information when you create, rearrange, recolor, save, and export small 4×4 pastel tile compositions inside the browser.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the MoodGlyph browser extension and the creative tools available through its extension interface. It explains how MoodGlyph handles tile layouts, color choices, local preferences, saved designs, and export actions.
MoodGlyph provides a compact 4×4 composition space where users can reorder pastel colored squares, recolor individual tiles, preserve favorite arrangements locally, and export completed grids as JSON or PNG files.
This policy does not apply to the browser, extension marketplace, operating system, file manager, or third-party service that a user may choose to use after exporting a design.
2. How MoodGlyph Works
MoodGlyph runs inside the browser as a self-contained creative extension. When the extension is opened, it displays a 4×4 grid of pastel tiles and controls for moving, recoloring, saving, and exporting the arrangement.
Dragging a tile, tapping a color option, saving a favorite composition, and preparing an export are processed locally in the browser. MoodGlyph does not need to inspect unrelated webpages or transmit design data to a remote server to provide these features.
The extension does not require an account, login, subscription, or cloud workspace. Users can build and preserve visual arrangements without providing identifying information.
3. Information MoodGlyph Does Not Collect
MoodGlyph does not collect, transmit, or maintain personal information. It is not designed to identify users or associate grid designs with a real person.
In particular, MoodGlyph does not collect:
- Names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or account credentials;
- Passwords, payment information, or financial details;
- Browsing history, visited URLs, bookmarks, or search queries;
- Website content, form entries, private messages, or unrelated device files;
- IP addresses, precise location, device identifiers, or demographic data;
- Advertising identifiers, telemetry, analytics, or behavioral profiles;
- Remote copies of tile layouts, color palettes, saved compositions, or exports.
Because these categories of information are not collected, the developer does not maintain a database of identifiable users or a remote archive of MoodGlyph designs.
4. Tile Layouts and Color Choices
The position of each tile, the selected pastel colors, and the order of the 4×4 grid are processed only to display and update the current composition.
MoodGlyph does not upload layout data, analyze color choices for advertising, infer mood or personality from a design, or combine creative activity with browsing behavior from other websites.
Locally stored arrangements remain under the user's control and are not published, shared, or synchronized automatically.
5. Local Storage and Saved Designs
MoodGlyph uses the browser's storage capability to save tile layouts, color choices, unfinished compositions, favorite arrangements, and related local preferences so that designs can remain available between sessions.
Stored designs remain in the browser's extension storage. They are not transmitted to the developer, sold to third parties, or used for marketing.
Users can remove locally stored designs and preferences by deleting them inside the extension, clearing extension data in the browser, or uninstalling MoodGlyph.
6. JSON and PNG Exports
MoodGlyph allows users to export completed grids as JSON data or PNG images. The export is prepared locally in the browser and is provided directly to the user.
Exported files are not automatically uploaded, shared, published, or sent to the developer. MoodGlyph does not retain a remote copy or maintain an export history on a developer-operated server.
After export, any storage, sharing, or processing performed through another service is governed by that service's own privacy terms.
7. Browser Permissions
MoodGlyph requests only the browser permission needed to preserve local designs and preferences. It does not require broad access to browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, tabs, or website content for its core functionality.
storage
The storage permission is used to save tile layouts, color choices, unfinished designs, favorite arrangements, and local configuration settings. It is not used to transmit information to an external service.
8. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking
MoodGlyph does not display advertisements and does not include advertising SDKs, sponsored-content systems, affiliate tracking, or monetization code based on user data.
The extension does not use analytics services, tracking pixels, browser fingerprinting, session replay tools, or cross-site identifiers.
MoodGlyph does not follow users across websites, create interest profiles, or share design activity with advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers.
9. Remote Code and External Services
MoodGlyph does not use remote code. The executable logic and visual assets required for arranging tiles, recoloring squares, saving layouts, and creating exports are included in the installed extension package.
The extension does not download additional executable scripts from an external server at runtime and does not depend on third-party processing services for its creative tools.
The browser or extension marketplace may independently process information related to installation, updates, security, or store usage under its own privacy policy.
10. Data Sharing, Sale, and Disclosure
MoodGlyph does not sell, rent, license, trade, or disclose personal information. It does not share local designs, tile arrangements, color choices, or preferences with advertisers, analytics companies, data brokers, social networks, or marketing services.
Because MoodGlyph does not collect personal information or maintain remote design archives, there is ordinarily no user data available for commercial sharing or disclosure.
11. Data Security and Retention
MoodGlyph reduces privacy risk by avoiding the collection and transmission of personal information. Tile layouts, saved designs, and preferences remain local to the browser.
Local compositions remain available until they are deleted by the user, cleared through browser settings, removed during a reset, or deleted when the extension is uninstalled.
No technical system can eliminate every possible security risk. However, MoodGlyph follows a limited-purpose design and does not maintain a developer-controlled archive of user designs or identifiable information.
12. Children's Privacy
MoodGlyph does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from users of any age. The extension does not provide account registration, messaging, targeted advertising, or social networking features.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be revised if MoodGlyph's features, permissions, or information practices change. Any updated version will include a revised effective date and will describe the extension's current behavior.
If a future version introduces cloud synchronization, analytics, external processing, or additional permissions, this policy will be updated accordingly.
14. Contact
Questions, privacy inquiries, or requests for clarification may be sent to the support address listed on MoodGlyph's official browser-extension store page.
